Not Your Grandmother's Pearls

I have a very exciting announcement to make!!! I'm officially ENGAGED to the love of my life!!!! He asked for my hand in marriage on December 31, 2013 at 11:55pm. It was so perfect and once he popped the question we went inside my dad's house to celebrate the new year with him and my step mom. To my surprise my whole family was there including my mom, step dad, sister, and grandma! If you keep scrolling down you will see a close up of my beautiful ring. I can't put into words how happy I am and how much it meant to me that my whole family was there.

Inspired by my ring I decided to class it up a bit.I have been eager to wear this beautiful multilayered sequence and pearl cardigan from Forever 21 (side note I couldn't find the cardigan online but I just bought it so it's available in stores and will soon be available online). Multilayered fabric will be a huge trend this year during the Spring! This is one of the trends I approve of!!! Let me know what you think!
