My Struggle
When I was younger I used to look at the endless amounts of clothes hanging in my closet and I would get intimidated and overwhelmed on the daily. I would gravitate towards the same t-shirt and jeans because it guaranteed my comfort and I guess it was just a habit by then. When I would try to put new outfits together I would put on everything in my closet and end up with my usual go-to comfy outfit. It really was a struggle! I want to share some tips that have helped me avoid these issues and helped me look put together with minimal effort.

Know What Looks Good On You
The key to looking put together is knowing what looks good on your body!! For instance, I know that off the shoulder tops accentuate my shoulders and neck area which is why this blog will contain lots and lots of off the shoulder pieces this summer and probably all the time! Some women may find their legs to be their best attribute so they will definitely want to wear shorts and skirts whenever possible. When I had gained weight I knew loose clothing would be my best friend but I still wanted to look fashionable and chic so I chose to enhance my look with accessories!! This will definitely vary from person to person and if you can't figure it out just look at pictures of yourself in different outfits to come up with a conclusion.
Grooming
I feel really strongly about this subject!! I genuinely believe that a quick 5 minute shower makes such a difference in your appearance. When I'm in a rush I don't wash my hair. If my hair is too oily I will add a little bit of dry shampoo to my roots and then proceed to put it up in a ponytail which takes all of two seconds. If I want to polish up the look a little more, I will curl the end of my ponytail and add some hairspray for the hold. Ladies don't forget to lotion up because its key to having smooth glowy skin!! My current favorite is Nivea Essentially Enriched lotion in the blue bottle because it has brought my skin back from looking dry and scaly to looking nourished and healthy.
Makeup
I can't live without makeup, specifically mascara & blush!! When I'm in a rush I make sure I apply mascara to make my eyes subtly pop and blush to add a little color to my face. It really enhances your au naturel look! If you don't have any time for mascara then I would throw on a nude lipstick or matte lip cream to define your lips and some sunglasses. Now your done and ready to conquer the day!
