Summer

My favorite time of the year is right around the corner and I can't wait to start wearing some of my favorite summer trends which I will be sharing with all of you today! I have narrowed it down to my top 4 favorite trends for summer and I seam to be wearing all four of them in today's outfit post. I don't recommend doing this at home! I guess the excitement of finally having all of these pieces in my wardrobe made me do it.

1) Stripes

I am in complete Italian mode because of my upcoming trip to Europe, so excuse me if most of my picks are very reminiscent of an Italian vacation in Positano. I can't get enough of blue and white stripes!! They are so classic and scream summer in Italy to me! Now that I have recently been updating my wardrobe with some luxury accessories I find myself lusting over that Dolce & Gabbana look which I was able to accomplish in my blue and white off the shoulder dress and my pearl encrusted cross earrings. Can you believe I put myself on a waiting list for this dress and so much time had passed by I completely forgot about it. It came back in stock 6 months later just in time for spring and summer and I couldn't be more excited to take this beauty to Italy in September. If you are interested in this particular dress, definitely go down a size because it runs very large but other than that its such a well made dress and very light and airy.

2) White Sunglasses

The first part of this year I kept my eyes glued to the internet trying to find the perfect white sunglasses for the summer and my persistence paid off! I found these beautiful sunnies by Kate Spade which have a super flattering shape to them and are a beautiful shade of white!! I truly love these sunglasses and will definitely get so much wear out of them! You definitely need a pair for the summer too!!

3) A Bamboo Summer Bag

Everyone needs a bamboo summer bag!!! Whether it's the ever so popular Cult Gaia Ark bag or a woven bag from Bali... this is an essential must have piece for this summer and many summers to come!! I've had my Cult Gaia bag for over two years and its popularity has soared tremendously since my purchase. It's been my go to bag for the past two summers and this year I decided to give it little more personality with a bandeau from Louis Vuitton. I love it even more now that I can dress it up with any color bandeau! Ive listed some cute bandeaus below just in case you want to dress up your summer bag!

4) Block Heel Sandals

As soon as I saw Jenny from the blog Margo and Me wearing these Stuart Weitzman sandals in Positano, I knew I had to have them for my upcoming trip to Europe! They are such a comfy sandal and the heel height is just perfect for a shopping date with friends or a summer BBQ. I love that they are white and go with virtually every summer dress I own. As I get older I am starting to find a whole new appreciation for block heels and love that they help me keep my balance because lord knows I am one clumsy women!

I've Come Out of Hibernation

I'm truly sorry for disappearing for half a year. I've been in hibernation ... literally. I put on quite a bit of weight to keep warm for the winter but now that winter is over and Spring is in the air I feel like a newly inspired girl! Spring has to be one of my favorite times of the year because we have longer days and warmer nights which makes this girl very happy!! During my hibernation period I did do a lot of shopping and I've been dying to share so many looks with all of you.

Gucci Obsession

As you can tell I have become a huge fan of Gucci!! I purchased my very first designer bag from them and now I have found these double GG sandals which are my "It" shoe for the summer. I love sandals and the block heel is 3.5 inches tall which makes them so comfortable to walk in. I have worn these out on shopping trips and after I broke them in once they have been one of the most comfortable sandals I own! Can you tell I'm smitten over these sandals?!?! They are perfect, they are simple, they add a touch of elegance to every outfit and go with absolutely everything in my wardrobe. Just in case anyone is wondering they are true to size and come in many different colors! Go get yourself a pair and thank me later!
